The Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore started their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 campaign with a victory against the defending champions Mumbai Indians.

RCB maintained its winning streak by winning 4 straight games in the April-May phase. The men in red registered their first loss in the 5th match against Chennai Super Kings.

From perfect bowling combinations to brilliant openers, RCB has got it all this year and the fans are rooting for the team to lift the IPL trophy this year.

Having won 5 matches in phase 1 of IPL, RCB is placed at the 3rd spot on the IPL points table with a net run rate of -0.171. The franchise will look to improve its net run rate in the upcoming matches.

RCB needs to win at least 3-4 matches in phase 2 of IPL to make a stronghold in the top 4 and fulfill their 13-year-old dream of lifting an IPL trophy.

RCB will play their first match against arch-rivals Kolkata Knight Riders on 20th September in UAE. The team is already among the top 4 and will try to finish in the top 2 positions and play the first qualifier to get the tickets to the final.
