KKR vs RCB Match Preview – Real11 Prediction, Fantasy Cricket Tips, Probable Playing XI

Kolkata Kinght Riders (KKR) will be up against Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 31st match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.

Venue – Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi
Time – 7:30 pm IST
Head-to-Head – KKR 15 – 13 RCB

Kolkata Knight Riders

Having won just 2 of their 7 matches, KKR are reeling at the 7th position. They cannot afford any slip ups at this stage of the tournament.

After Pat Cummins withdrew from the 2nd half of IPL, KKR roped in Tim Southee as a replacement.

With 3 overseas spots already booked in the name of Eoin Morgan (captain), Andre Russell and Sunil Narine, the 4th slot will be a choice between Tim Southee/Lockie Ferguson.

Team Form: L L L W L

Sunil Narine had an amazing CPL to his name picking up 12 wickets in 10 matches at an ER of 4.37 and will look to carry on his form with ball in hand in UAE.

A destructive middle order comprising of Dinesh Karthik, Andre Russell and Eoin Morgan, men who can single handedly take the match away from opposition on their day.

Shubman Gill, the most important bat in the KKR batting lineup, hasn’t been able to give them the firepower they need in the powerplay. Having just recovered from injury, Shubman doesn’t have too many games behind him.

Likely XI – Eoin Morgan (C), Shubman Gill, Nitish Rana, Rahul Tripathi, Dinesh Karthik, Andre Russell, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Sunil Narine, Lockie Ferguson, Prasidh Krishna, Varun Chakravarthy.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Having won 5 of their 7 games, RCB is comfortably sitting at 3rd position. However they won’t allow any complacency to creep in specially at the beginning of the 2nd half.

Captain Kohli has announced last night that he will not retain captaincy after IPL 2021 so would be hungry to sign off with a trophy which is much deserving after what he has done for RCB last 13 years.

Team Form:  W W L W L

Spin bowling department has got a boost with the addition of Wanindu Hasaranga. He along with Yuzvendra Chahal will be a threat to the opposition in middle overs.
Harshal Patel has been the highest wicket- taker this season so far, Mohammad Siraj will be looking to continue his red-ball form into white-ball cricket. All in all, the bowling lineup which worried RCB over the past years seems to be settled on paper.

A destructive and experienced batting order with Virat, AB and Maxwell is a threat to any bowling lineup.

Left-arm spinners seem to trouble RCB batting unit as seen in the 1st half. Losing flurry of wickets to Harpreet Brar is an example.

A lot of key players are unavailable. The likes of Washington Sundar, Daniel Sams, Adam zampa, Finn Allen and Kane Richardson are all set to miss the 2nd half of IPL.

Likely XI: Virat Kohli (C ), Devdutt Paddikal, Rajat Patidar, Glenn Maxwell, AB De Villiers, Wanindu Hasaranga, Shahbaz Ahmed, Kyle Jamieson, Harshal Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Siraj.

Top 3 Fantasy Picks

Andre Russell – Someone who bowls at the death overs is always a good pick for fantasy as he can give you points with wickets and also a destructive batsman, overall the best pick for fantasy.

Glenn Maxwell – Will bat at 4 and play the maximum overs with the bat, All set to roll his arms as well and might pick up a wicket or 2.

Nitish Rana – A differential pick you can go with, all set to open the batting, will have very few fantasy selection. Him scoring runs in powerplay and middle overs can give you valuable points.
